Overview
We are able to offer a full Chinese / English translation and interpretation service, as detailed below. All work is carried out by native Chinese speakers, educated to at least degree level. We are regularly commissioned to carry out translation of letter and faxes, legal documents, adoption papers, local authority literature, books, academic work and technical documents such as product assembly instructions.

Translation
- English to Chinese Traditional* or Chinese Simplified*
- Chinese Traditional* or Chinese Simplified* to English
Translation is typeset in the same format as the original document, e.g. A4 portrait, 2 columns, letter, poster, leaving spaces for pictures, graphics or logos.
Pictures, graphics or logos can be scanned, or originals supplied by the client electronically and inserted into the document.
Language to be appropriate to the original document, e.g. simple, technical or academic.
For English to Chinese translation of proper nouns the original English term may be bracketed, or translated phonetically.
For Chinese to English translation of proper nouns the original Chinese term may be shown phonetically using Pin-Yin romanisation.
Numbers, symbols and equations are shown as per the original document.
Translated work can be despatched by:

- E-mail
- Laser printed on 80- or 100-gsm paper
- Floppy
- CDROM
either to the client or direct to a third party.

Rates
Please contact us for details of our rates. Translation of smaller documents is generally priced per word, with special volume rates for books, dissertations and theses.
Higher rates may apply for complex technical documents; send a sample for an estimate. * Traditional Chinese is the written language of almost all Chinese people, although Simplified Chinese characters are used officially in Mainland China (PRC).
† Mandarin is the official spoken language of Taiwan (ROC), Singapore and Mainland China (PRC).
